Change of Plans? Same-Day, Walk-In Registrations Available for Summer Workshops
If you’ve been holding off signing up your student for a workshop because of a potential scheduling conflict, we have good news! We are offering same-day, walk-in registration for our summer workshops. That way, if your plans change or you decide at the last minute, you can enroll your student on the spot.
- Walk-in registration is first-come, first-served.
- Please arrive at least 15-30 minutes before the workshop starts.
- Walk-ins are assessed a 20% late registration fee over regular prices.
- Students should bring a laptop (anything except a school-issued Chromebook).
- Pay registration fee by check or online using a credit card.
What You Need to Know
- Online registration closes at 2 pm the day before the workshop or when enrollment is full.
- If you would like to register after that and the workshop still has space (indicated online - please check availability), you can bring your student to the workshop at least 15-30 minutes before the scheduled start to register with the instructor there.
- Walk-in registration is first-come, first-served.
- No discounts or bundle prices are available for walk-ins. Walk-ins will be assessed a 20% late registration fee over regular prices (see below).
- As soon as you decide to register on the day of the workshop, text 510-531-4767 (5314SOS) to let our office know. Include your name, your student’s name, your phone number, and your email address.
- All workshops are held at Lafayette Library in Lafayette, CA. You can park in the underground parking lot or on the street.
- Have your student bring a laptop. Anything except a school issued Chromebook will work.
- There are two ways to pay on the day of the workshop:
Option 1: Pay by check made payable to SOS4Students for the total amount of the workshop plus the 20% late registration fee.
Option 2: Pay online using a credit card. A QR code will be onsite to direct you to our payment platform. Proof of payment must be shared with onsite staff before you can leave your student. - Let your student know about the workshop as much in advance as possible. Have your student read the description on the website. Our interactive workshops are designed especially for teens and tweens!
- Please note that SOS reserves the right to send any disruptive students home without a refund. Students must respect instructors and peers.

Same-Day Registration Terms & Conditions – Registration is considered final once paid. Any student who is disruptive to the workshop or discourteous to teachers or other students will have one brief private discussion with an instructor and a warning. Students will be asked to leave for subsequent disruptions.
